Quick sugar free treat: Dates + almonds + cocoa

Dates, almonds, cocoa

I know, I know, I have blogged about these little balls already on that previous blog of mine, but I made them again last night and wanted to share on this blog as well.

Ingredients

– 130g pitted dates
– 130g almonds
– 20g cocoa powder
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– dash of water

Method

Chuck everything into a food processor and mix for a couple of minutes. Roll into balls and eat, store in the fridge or freeze… depending how patient you are πŸ™‚

You have probably figured out that I love food that it easy to make and doesn’t use a lot of ingredients πŸ™‚

What’s your favourite 5-10 minute recipe?

These look great!! I’ve been looking for something like this. Have you ever tried carob–not just in this recipe but generally? I love carob.

Off to print this off for later…

ooo I got some medjool (sp!) dates in my shop today. I can’t get away from this idea that using cocoa powder is cheating however, i think I have associated chocolate with sugar for so long….I am addicted to Urban Fruit Strawberries, I might try mixing it up with those.

Pure cocoa powder is so good for you though – full of antioxidants… Never heard of Urban Fruit Strawberries, will have to Google πŸ™‚
