What a busy and crazy week it was – work was exhausting, snow was falling on several days although it’s the end of March, kids are going crazy being still stuck inside most of the time… The only thing that keeps me distracted from how terrible this winter is that just keeps dragging on and on and on is my marathon training.
I live and breathe my training at the moment, every day I just think ahead of the next day: when I can schedule in running, when Crossfit, when sports massage, etc. There are so many other things going on in my life (for example a major house renovation) but I will not mentally focus too much on anything else right now, I can do that in two weeks. The focus now is on not getting a cold or tripping over or injuring myself in Crossfit by overdoing it with the weights. It’s time to slow down, let the body recover and then enjoy the ride on the 7th 🙂
This week’s training summary:
Wednesday: 12.27km at 5:07 min/km pace, 1:02:45 = 7.6 miles
Friday: 8.31km at 4:54 pace, 40:46 = 5.2 miles
Sunday: 26.11km at 5:50 pace, 2:32:13 = 16.2 miles
Total: 46.69 km = 29 miles
Next week’s total distance will only be 35km 🙂
