Marathon bling

Almost as soon as I signed up for the Paris Marathon late last year, I ordered myself a necklace from Shine on Sporty Girl on Etsy.

Running the marathon turned out to be such an emotional experience that the sense of achievement is still palpable to me every day – so much so that today was actually the first day I put my marathon bling on.

I think it’s cute and all but whether I show off my achievements or not, all that matters is actually knowing what I have achieved. THAT in itself makes me feel like such a badass and smile randomly in places and at times that people don’t expect to see someone grinning (like on the tube during rush hour).

Just note that they don’t ship to the UK, I had it sent to a friend in the US who forwarded it to me.

Yeah, I realized that after selecting exactly what I wanted. I might just buy one before X-mas and have it delivered to my parents in time for the Texas marathon. πŸ˜›
