When I’m at home and in my routine, I’m really good about eating the way that makes me feel good physically and mentally. When I’m on holidays, however, my brain seems to short-circuit or something and I reach for things that I never would normally. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one whose clean eating goes a bit out the window while on holidays 😐
Last week in Center Parcs I had many of my sugar-free treats with me but husband also brought some delicious regular milk chocolate with hazelnuts and the grocery store there sold the nicest ice cream I have tried in a while (Mövenpick’s chocolate ice cream with chocolate shavings, if you need to know 😉
Since I feel so much better if I do stay away from dairy, sugar and gluten, I’m back to my old ways now and for the past two nights have been enjoying a bit of Mövenpick-inspired dairy&sugar free non-ice cream.
Ingredients (roughly):
– 100ml of almond milk
– 2 tablespoons of cashew butter
– half a frozen banana
– 20g or xylitol sweetened dairy free chocolate (I buy it from Holland and Barrett)
Method
Blend and then freeze for 30-60 minutes. The result is nice, thick and creamily delicious.
If you can’t wait for 30 minutes, just eat it straight up but it’s more like a smoothie then.
