Everyone wants answers.
What should I eat / not eat so I could look a certain way? What exercise is the best for x/y/z? How much coffee is too much? (answer: no such thing as too much coffee) Is it best to eat less and often or more and less frequently? Will weightlifting make me bulky? Why is running not making me lose weight?
If you read this blog you’re probably health conscious – you know what you need to do in order to feel better / your best. So it’s not answers you need.
Somebody else’s answers are effective for you anyway.
What we all need is questions.
Because when we question everything, we eventually find the answers for ourselves, and that is when change happens.
Question not first HOW to change but always WHY do you want to change?
WHY do you want to make your thighs smaller / WHY do you want to lose weight / WHY is it important to you that you have visible abs?
You NEED to question your why-s. All of them. You need to ponder and ponder and question and question and get deep into who you are and what you want and what does health mean to you.
Only then will the answers come to you.
Slowly. They will emerge.
YOUR answers. Not anyone else’s.
Why do you do the things you do?
Do you enjoy them or think they look cool?
How does the food you eat make you feel?
How does the media you consume make you feel? Why do you still consume it if it doesn’t make you feel great?
Why do you think you want to look like somebody else?
Don’t believe anyone who tells you that they have the answers for you. That their way of eating or exercising is the right way for you.
There is no One Way.
You have to find our own way.
So don’t look around social media / traditional media / your friends / celebrities / trainers / gurus for answers.
Look for questions.
