1. Runner sweatshirt
by This Mum Runs • £39.99
The distance, the speed, the frequency doesn’t matter – if you run, you are a runner. Wear your identity with pride.
2. Ultra light low cut running socks
by Feetures • £13.99
Perfect thickness – feet don’t get too hot or blister. Perfect height – shoes don’t eat them up like they eat up little ‘tabbed’ running socks (tell me I’m not the only one whose shoes do that!)
3. Run: The mind-body method of running by feel
by Matt Fitzgerald • £16.99
Just like ‘intuitive’ eating is big right now (and offers so much potential when fully & truly grasped), running by feel should also be big. Most runners are so stuck in training plans and metrics that they ignore their sense of feel. This book teaches you how to listen to your body again so that you can actually work better with your body and access more of your body’s capabilities. Matt Fitzgerald is an endurance running expert and I guarantee this book will make you think about running and your body in a different, more personal and in tune way.
4. Tropical flowers leggings
by Tikiboo • £34.99
The days are getting darker and I find nothing cheers me up more when I run than bright leggings. Tikiboo leggings are light and soft, not warm enough for the coldest days but I wear shorts on top of most leggings when it’s below 0 so that my bum doesn’t freeze 😉 I love this tropical print and it’s definitely on my Christmas list.
5. Unbreakable Runner: Unleash the power of strength and conditioning for a lifetime of running strong
by Brian MacKenzie • £16.99
Brian MacKenzie is the founder of CrossFit Endurance programme, which is basically teaching CrossFitters how to run. CrossFitters typically hate to run but if you’re like me and love strength training as much as you love running, this book offers great advice on how to combine the two so that both your lifting and your running benefits.
If you want to become a faster and more durable runner with less injuries, this book is for you.
If you want to become a CrossFitter who doesn’t hate running and who sees the value in running, this book is for you.
6. Shoe wings
by Shwings • £7-15
Shwings on your running shoes make you fly! Not literally actually but they do make you and others around you smile, and I wore mine to my last marathon and I’m giving them some credit for my amazing race experience 😉

November 20, 2017 at 6:15 pmI love the Runner sweatshirt and the sleeves look like they might be long enough for me. Thanks for the link to the Brian MacKenzie book. As a rather injury-prone runner I’m always on the hunt for tips on strength and conditioning.

November 23, 2017 at 10:36 amThe Unbreakable Runner book has strength exercises as well but I still think the simplest is still to either go to the gym and use weights or machines OR grab something heavy(ish) and do some squats, lunges, planks, etc. at home.
