3 In daily life/ fitness/ parenting/ who am I

Love the way you sweat

On Monday night we had this year’s first parent/teacher meeting with my 6-yr old’s teacher. As we were waiting outside the classroom, we looked through his school work so far – his accounts of school holidays and weekends are always the same – he seems mostly just interested in iPad games and food. I laughed when I read that he likes to wake up late. The kid is up at 6:30 most mornings. I laughed even more when I saw this picture he’d drawn of ‘exercise’.

The context was correct, he was supposed to draw everything that is healthy, but he doesn’t seem to think exercise is fun at all judging by the facial expression of the character (holding a tiny barbell??) 🙂

Maybe he’s seen all my race photos?? Or doing thrusters at Crossfit??

Looking at that drawing made me think how lucky I am that I have found ways to exercise that might make me look like that at times but that I actually love with a passion and enjoy and look forward to and always finish with a smile.

Have you?

That picture brought a huge smile to my face…
It’s just wonderful the way children see the world & I’m sure I pull faces like that sometimes.
I think I have found workouts I really enjoy (mainly running & lifting) I go though stages when I cannot face running a single mile and want to stay in bed..Then I’ll have a moment when I cannot get my trainers on fast enough 🙂
